The music publishing firm "Ediziun Trais Giats" was founded in November 1993 by the cellist Gyula Petendi. |
|
| Teaching gave Petendi the idea to collect cello duo music and to publish it in two volumes of the "Schatzkiste" (treasure chest). This music was mentioned in the "Schweizer musikpädagogische Blätter" of July 1996, a Swiss magazine specialised on music education. It got very good marks, although it does not have a professional layout. Since then, many copies have been sold. | |
| The cellist and publisher Petendi has discovered many interesting compositions, such as music of Allan Rosenheck and Paul Huber, or music from the string quartet of Gustav Krug, a friend of Nietzsche. | ![]() |
| In 1997, the pianist, harpsichordist and composer Daniel Bosshard joined Ediziun Trais Giats. | |
| Thanks to his research on A. Skrjabin, Ediziun Trais Giats has found compositions of this Russian composer that have been unknown till then. It is planned to publish a thematic index of his compositions. | |
| The program contains compositions from both present and past, some of them being rarities, exclusively available at Ediziun Trais Giats. | |
| "Trais Giats" is rumantsch and means "three cats". Home of Ediziun Trais Giats is Ardez, in the Inn Valley (Switzerland), where people speak rumantsch. The logo shows - as the name says - three cats. (Do they keep all the notes ??) | |
